Questions

Questions teachers ask us

What is the difference between visiting, guest and adjunct faculty?

In Indian colleges the three terms are often used for the same thing: a part-time, contract teaching role rather than a permanent post. Facultix uses "visiting faculty" for all of them.

Do I need NET, SET (KSET) or a PhD?

You need a postgraduate degree in the subject. NET, SET (KSET) or a PhD is preferred for every placement and needed to teach PG programmes.

Can I teach part-time alongside my job?

Yes. Hourly teaching and one-off guest lectures or workshops can fit around a full-time job, and industry experience counts.

Which subjects can I apply for?

Marketing, HR, operations, business law, accounting, taxation, business analytics, Python, R, machine learning, data visualisation, corporate finance, financial analytics, security analysis, financial modelling, research methodology, statistics and project guidance. If your subject isn’t listed, apply anyway; the faculty pool grows every semester.

What happens after I apply?

We review your profile and call you to set up an interview. When a college needs your subject, you take a demo class with the HOD before teaching begins.

How do I send my CV?

Paste a Google Drive, Dropbox or LinkedIn link in the application form, or email your CV to praasaconsultancy@gmail.com.
